Our youth program strives to make disciples of Christ that live out their faith in the world today. We aim to foster a sense of mission in our young people through service and create an environment in which they can strengthen their relationship with the Lord and each other.
Sunday Night sessions
Our high school teens meet regularly during the school year on Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for TYM (Total Youth Ministry). We use a program where the sessions include prayer, games, topic talks, small group sharing and social time. Attendance is required in order to fulfill the remote preparation requirement for Confirmation.
We call it "Total Youth Ministry" because we don't just offer spiritual formation. We minister to the whole person. Specifically, there are 8 themes and components that we cover in our formation. These themes are also outlined in the document written by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops called
Renewing the Vision. These components are:
- Community Life
- Justice and Service
- Leadership Development
- Pastoral Care
- Prayer and Worship
Events and Service Opportunities
Other events are planned throughout the year to help build community among the young people and to foster spiritual growth. Service opportunities are also added throughout the year, please check the website and bulletin to see the latest opportunities and printable permission forms.
